Findings:

  • The share of no-cutlery orders significantly increased in the treated cities
  • Green nudges increased the share of no-cutlery orders by 19.3%-21.2.
  • Nearly 83% of the individuals in the treated cities responded positively to the green nudges; about 6% of the individuals didn’t change, and 11% behaved in the opposite direction
  • Green nudges on the platform’s business performance is negligible and statistically nonsignificant
  • The effects were larger for women
